The Founders

The Founders of this Path, the Rishis Path or the Sapta Rishis Path are, in reality, the seven great Light Masters guided by Master V.

On the human plane two Light Masters founded this Path.

Maharshi Amara (1919-1982)

He was one of the tallest Light Masters ever walked on the earth. He came in contact with the seven Light Masters in the Astral plane at the age of nine and worked with them till his end.

He travelled astrally daily to other worlds and gathered vast Spiritual Knowledge, particularly the science of Meditation.

He founded the Rishis Path in 1974 when the Dark Age or the Kali Yuga ended.

He continues to guide the followers from the Astral plane even now.

Guruji Krishnananda (1939)

He is the direct disciple of Maharshi Amara. He met Maharshi Amara in 1977 to learn Meditation and joined his Spiritual Project in 1981.

He founded Manasa Light Age Foundation in 1988 and established the Study Centre in 2007.

He wrote “Doorways to Light” (1998) which is considered as one of the most important books after the “Autobiography of a Yogi”.

His book “Channelled Knowledge from the Rishis” (2005) has channelled answers to most of the questions that a seeker of Truth and a Meditator come across.

He is a channel for the Hierarchy.

He lives in Taponagara, 20 KMs away from Bangalore, India. He lives in seclusion and lives away from the glare of publicity like his Guru did.

The Place

Manasa Foundaton is established in a newly budding township called Taponagara, by the side of a tiny village called Chikkagubbi which lies one kilometre off Hennur-Bagalur Road, which leads to new Bengaluru International Airport. Taponagara is about 20 KMs away from Bangalore city, India.

In 1935, Maharshi Amara meditated for 24 days and nights on a nearby hillock when he saw a huge light falling from the sky near Taponagara. Then, it was revealed to him that a special Spiritual Centre would be established by the Light Masters here.

Guruji Krishnananda founded Taponagara in 1993 with a lonely hut.

In 1994, a huge field of energy was built by the Light Masters which was about one and a half kilometres in radius. The field has now grown to a hemisphere of about four kilometres in diameter.

Taponagara has the Head Quarters of the Path called Manasa. One Kilometre away, in another village called Gollahalli, the Study Centre is established. This area is known as Antar-Manasa.

Taponagara has two important structures:

Kundalini Tower where special Kundalini energy brought down from the Higher Plane of Adi Shakti is placed under the ground and

Cosmic Tower which has two pyramids, one inverted pyramid sitting on the other containing the energies and entry points into the Higher Planes.

Taponagara also has a special park developed for Meditations.

By the side of Antar-Manasa lies the recently built (Dec 2009) Great Ra Meditation Hall. Here energies from Great Ra, the source of energies of the Egyptian Ra, are stored.

Location

Taponagara is located in the northern part of Bangalore (India) beyond Lingarajapuram. It is about 22 kilometres away from the Railway and Bus stations.

The new International Airport is 30 kilometres from here.

One has to travel a distance of about 8 kilometres on the Hennur-Bagalur Road and then after crossing the land marks (Southern Asia Bible College and Poorna Pragna School) take a right turn at a place called Byrathi Bande and travel 1.5 kilometres. There are sign boards with arrow marks from here.

It may take about an hour to reach Taponagara from Majestic.

Yogashree is one of the most prominent wings of “Hindu Seva Prathistana” an NGO in the service of mankind for the last three decades. Yoga addresses many psychosomatic ailments, a consequence of modern lifestyles, apart from the much needed spiritual evolution. Thus yoga has been a panacea for alcohol addiction, depression and other such psychological problems.

Yogashree has, over a period of time, succcessfully conducted over a thousand yoga camps, which include camps for the physically and mentally challenged, juvenile deliquents and   prisoners.

Yogashree also has the unique achievement of training over 40,000 people in yoga, to its credit. The volunteers are trained intensely so that they are involved in the wide propagation of it.

Yogashree begins at 5 a.m and continue till 8 p.m in several batches. The volunteers are aptly called “Sevavrithis” for they devote their time, energy and virtually their entire life, unconditionally for this noble cause. They travel extensively to every part of Karnataka to extend their services.

Yogashree also trains several Yoga aspirants who assist in the daily activities of Yogashree.

Yogashree has also many unifying and harmonious activities like Annual day, educational tours for the students, celebrating national festivals to promote patriotism and Rakshabhandhana to improve inter personal relationship.

The products of Yogashree reflect the best of our culture which is so lacking in the society today.

The Indian Institute of World Culture was founded on 11 August, 1945 in the pleasant suburb of Basavanagudi in the city of Bangalore.  It owes its existence to the foresight, vision and sacrifice of its founder President, Shri. B.P. Wadia and his worthy spouse Smt. Sophia Wadia.  The prime object of the institute has all along been to foster the growth of truly cosmopolitan spirit among citizens, resting on universal brotherhood and a faith in the moral law, which do not belong exclusively to any one age, climate, nation or creed.  In the words of its founder President, “the institute seeks to make available to those nuggets of knowledge which make a man healthier in body, wealthier in mind, nobler in heart, more self-sacrificing in spirit”.  It was conceived not as an academy for scholars, but as a cultural centre for ordinary men and women, affording them opportunities to develop those graces of living which are the hall-mark of humanism.

For achieving these lofty ideals, public lectures are being organized regularly on relevant topics.  These are judiciously blended with programmes of music and dance to enrich the cultural life.  On an average, one hundred and fifty programmes are organized yearly, with not less than two programmes each week.  Among the many distinguished scholars who have honoured the institute by their visits, special mention could be made of the names of  Mr. C.P. Ramaswamy Ayiar, Prof. Julian Huxley, Prof. Arnold Toybee, Shri. C. Rajagopalachari, Lord Boyd Orr, H.H. the Panchen Lama, Dr. J.V. Narlikar, Dr. K.G. Saiyidain, Dr. Karan Singh, H.H. Jayachamarajendra Wadiayar, and Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr and many other world renowned persons.

Some of the lectures delivered are brought out in print as “Transactions of the institute” for wider dissemination.  More than hundred such transactions have been issued so far.  Each month’s programme is given advance publicity in the monthly bulletin of the institute, along with some useful reading material.  Sustained efforts are made to conduct all programmes with clock-like precision and punctuality.

The institute maintains a General Library of over 40,000volumes, which is satisfying one of the needs of the community.  A separate children’s library has also been established to cater to the special needs of the younger generation.  Both these have become very popular and useful over the years.  Its magazine has over 400 periodicals.

Art and Bhajan classes are also being arranged, besides special short-term summer programmes for the benefit of those interested.

A new dimension to the growth of the institute was given in 1985 through the establishment of the Centre for History and Philosophy of Science (CHPS).  The centre has undertaken a number of research programmes touching on the history and philosophy of science, sponsored by the state government of Karnataka, the Indian Academy of Science and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.  The volumes prepared by the Centre are rated highly among scholars for the light they shed and the in-depth study they reflect on the themes chosen for study.

The institute is a voluntary agency, zealous of its non-sectarian, non-political and autonomous character.  It is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act.  Its management is vested in an executive committee.

The doors of the institute are open to all who are in sympathy with the concept of universal brotherhood and who endeavour to cultivate an attitude of brotherliness in their daily life.
